A fresh Bordeaux style blend of 68% Merlot 27% Cabernet Sauvignon 5% Cabernet Franc.
Viridescens is Red Newt’s "Winemakers' Reserve" Red Wine. Where the Glacier Ridge Cabernet Franc or Merlot bottlings really accentuate the full and fleshy sides of both those grapes, Viridescens seeks more elegance, balance, and nuance that rewards careful cellaring and thoughtful drinking. As a selection of our best vineyard sites and vinifications, this wine represents the most elegant and ageworthy wine we create in a vintage with its ripe, fine tannins and stunning fruit.
