Bobo's Plate-to-Gate Meals Featuring Red Newt Cellars Wine - Brooklyn Grange - September 29th
Plate-to-Gate is NYC restaurant Bobo's traveling series of outdoor meals experienced on-location at the various New York farms where the ingredients grew. Paired with their fresh feast, Plate-to-Gate diners enjoy wine from Finger Lakes centric Red Newt Cellars winemaker Dave Whiting at each location. Featured wines this season are Red Newt Cellars·2009 Sawmill Creek Riesling and Red Newt Cellars·2008 Glacier Ridge Cabernet Franc.
The next stop for Bobo's executive chef Patrick Connolly is Thursday, September 29th at the Brooklyn Grange in Long Island City for a Rooftop Farm Dinner. Diners revel in reception canapés at 6:30pm followed by dinner at 7:00pm. Ticket prices for this event are $90 +tax: includes all food, drink, and gratuity.
Connolly and his team prepare a colorful meal under the water tower on the roof while guests take in the spectacle of the New York City skyline. The vegetable driven menus boast three different harvests on the Grange over the summer, all distinctively highlighted at the three separate Brooklyn Grange events. Diners at the September 29th event indulge in locally sourced meat and seafood, hearty greens and other late harvested vegetables, as well as a pasta dish. There are 8-10 dishes served family style.
